Polenta with cheese in the oven
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
4 cups water
350 g polenta corn grits
200 g sausage
100 g minced pork
100 g butter
100 g mushrooms
150 g parmesan
1 Small onion
1 spoonful of tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Bring the water to the boil. Pour in the grits a little at a time, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Salt and cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Chop the onion, mushrooms and grate the cheese.
In a large frying pan fry the onion with 50 grams of oil, add the pork mince lightly fry. Then add tomato sauce and mushrooms, sausage. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook on low heat for an hour, occasionally adding a little water. - Place a layer of polenta in the baking dish, then a layer of mushroom and meat filling, sprinkle with cheese and then cover with another layer of polenta. Sprinkle a layer of cheese on top.
- Place in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 40 minutes. Serve sliced. Help yourself to a dish!
