Tarator is a cold soup popular in Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia in summertime. It is usually served before the second course or simultaneously with the second course. Main ingredients: sour milk, cucumber, garlic, walnuts, dill, vegetable oil, water, salt, spices. Can be served with ice. Give it a try and enjoy!

  • 0.6 liters of unsweetened yogurt or kefir
    2 cucumbers
    4 pcs radishes
    1 garlic clove
    1 tsp. sugar, if desired
    fresh herbs
    ground black pepper
    salt to taste
    serving bread

    Cooking time: 15 min


  • Wash the vegetables and herbs. Grate the radishes and cucumbers on a fine grater. Finely chop the herbs and mince the garlic with a garlic press.
    Put the vegetables and herbs in a bowl, pour the yogurt, add sugar if desired, salt and pepper. Stir and serve with toast. Help yourself to a dish!Tarator
